What is something that is born with each and every one of us. Something that releases your confidence. Something that helps you become a better you. Don’t look at the title of this blog now… that’s cheating. But you wouldn’t be wrong. STRENGTH. Strength is that something that will one day break free, if it hasn’t already, and just whoosh everyone away. Not literally but … you know what I mean. When you find that strength, you will feel so much love for yourself and others will see it and respect it. If you are still struggling with finding your strength, I want you to do two things. One start with truly feeling emotions. After you feel that emotion, embrace it for what it truly is. A quote from Demi Lovato says exactly that,
“Watch a movie that makes you laugh or listen to a song that makes you cry. Embrace your emotions and be proud of what you feel”.
Another quote from Demi is,
“Love yourself and treat yourself as you would treat your very best friend. You deserve the same love you give to others.”
This quote just proves that you and everyone around you are worthy of love. To know and understand that takes strength. I could go on and on about what takes strength but only one person can really explain how you get that strength.
Demi Lovato has opened up to her fans about the battles she faces on a daily basis in “Stay Strong: 365 Days a Year”. She talks about her personal experience and her beliefs in a brief paragraph and ends on a quote. Some of the quotes are her own and others are artist/writers that inspire her. This is not the type of book you read in a week. This is the type of book that you take your time with. You read one page every morning. You maybe even re-read it. This is the type of book that you allow to move your life in the most marvelous ways you could ever imagine. Let this book motivate you, change you, generate positive thoughts in you, realize the impact you can make in others lives and embrace yourself for who you really are. Beautiful, Amazing, Worthy, Lovable and so much more. You are You. The moment you accept that is the moment you truly believe in yourself.
“Learn from the past and share your experiences with others” says Lovato. This is something I have struggled with for a while. But somebody once told me that what I have to say matters. My story matters and I deserved to be heard just as much as anyone else does. Thanks mama.
This video reveals some of my story. I am just like every one of you and I struggle but I also fight to be the best version of myself. Enjoy the video and feel free to subscribe to my channel! Also the book I encourage you to read, if you forgot is called “Staying Strong: 365 Days a Year” by Demi Lovato.
